The film does check off all of the boxes for a good revenge flick, but it also feels like it’s doing so just to be a movie. There’s no real passion or flare to it, making it a rather listless husk of a story. Thankfully, the DVD includes some interesting extras, including Natalie Portman’s never-before-released audition tapes that feature her conversations with V in his Shadow Gallery and kitchen over breakfast, as well as in Dietrich’s town home, followed by the finished scenes from the final film.
