Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator
If you’ve got your ear to the ground on Internet and gaming culture, you’ve probably heard of Dream Daddy, the new dad dating sim that has everyone talking. The gay online game, created by YouTubers-turned-developers Game Grumps, takes the usual tropes of the genre and turns them on their heads. The result is one of the funniest, heartwarming online gay games of the year.
The basic loop of DD is simple enough: choose a dad to date, pick the right dialogue choices to win them over, play mini-games to show off your skills, then go on the actual date. There are a total of seven different dads to date, and while at first glance they all seem to line up pretty strongly with common stereotypes, most of them are more than what they appear. Some of the dads even have their own story arcs that are deeply satisfying to see through to the end.
What really stands out about the gay game online, however, is how it treats its characters. It’s not afraid to get real about serious issues like insecurity, alcoholism, and loss, but never on a level that feels exploitative or needs to come with a trigger warning. Most of the time, when these issues do pop up, they’re simply a backdrop to the main character’s own struggles with high school life and her search for a true community.
Dream Daddy is also one of the few dating sims that doesn’t stigmatize non-straight relationships. Not only can the player choose to date all the dads on their block, but they can also have a platonic relationship with any of them. The final scene of the online gay porn game, which shows Amanda graduating with her dads and their kids there to celebrate with her, is a genuinely moving moment that’s a testament to how well the game has managed to balance its many layers.

Uncle Neighbor: Uncle Dating SimulatorBack in 2017, Dream Daddy was a big hit with the gay community, and its success led to another gay online game that also focuses on dating fathers. Uncle Neighbor is similar to the original, but it adds more character routes and features a diverse array of men of different sizes and skin colors.
While it does suffer from some limitations, like the limited diversity of its visuals and the fact that most of the men are all muscular, the online gay XXX game is still an excellent choice for those interested in exploring dating sims with LGBTQ+ themes. And the best part is that unlike Dream Daddy, Uncle Neighbor is NSFW, so players can choose whether they want to play as a top or bottom in the game’s sex scenes.

Video sexy gaygames online have long had a reputation for being violent, male-dominated and unsuitable for kids. Many non-gamers still think that gamers are homophobic, sexist men who would never play a game with a gay character in it. But this is just plain wrong. A recent survey by GLAAD shows that 17% of gamers are LGBTQ and they are just as dedicated to playing, spending and talking about video games as non-LGBTQ people.
The GLAAD study also showed that a majority of LGBTQ gamers are interested in seeing more gay porn games online with queer characters and storylines. However, the reality is that it’s not easy to introduce gay content into video gay games. Small independent developers can do it, but big companies face a lot of obstacles. For one thing, there’s a concern of backlash from both conservative groups and the gaming community, which can lead to censorship or ratings that could damage a gay game’s reputation.
Another challenge is the fact that most online gay game developers don’t know how to incorporate gay content. They might not be aware of the diversity within their audience, or they might not have any experience making games with LGBTQ content. Fortunately, a number of universities are working to address this. One example is the Temple University’s LGBTQ Video Game Archive, which collects and curates queer representation in online gay sex games from the 1980s to present day. Its creator, Adrienne Shaw, says that the archive will eventually serve as a resource for researchers and the gaming community.
There have been a few major milestones when it comes to gay representation in gay games online. The first was probably 1986’s Moonmist, which featured an artist named Vivian and her female lover Dierdre. However, the first major mainstream game series to feature a queer character was 1998’s Fallout 2, which included same sex relationships among its cast of characters. More recently, the Life is Strange and Mass Effect series have both offered LGBTQ characters and romance options.
